Group Milford Track Guided Walk from Milford Sound

Departing Milford Sound, the walk begins with a short boat ride to Sandfly Point.  An easy 5.5 km (11 km return) walk alongside the cascading Arthur River and moody Lake Ada, on a well-maintained track through ancient temperate rainforest surrounded by an array of ferns, mosses and lichens in vibrant shades of green leads to Giant Gate Waterfall.  An expansive swing bridge provides a perfect photo opportunity. Return at a leisurely pace taking the time to enjoy this incredible forest.  The small group of 12 walkers to 1 Trips & Tramps guide provides an excellent opportunity to learn about the fascinating human heritage of the track.  On completion of the walk re-join the boat for the transfer back to Milford.

Notes: Exclusive groups are run separate to our scheduled trip and have their own guide (Japanese or English speaking). Groups will have their own boat departure and return time to fit their itinerary schedule.  Departure times available from 7.30 am, but we must be leaving the track no later than 2.00 pm.
