Jet Boat + Kepler Track Hike

You will be collected by your friendly guide at your Te Anau accommodation, or meet us at the Fiordland Jet Office in the center of Te Anau.

First up, the Fiordland Jet team will lead you on a pure wilderness jet boat experience. Enjoy the thrill of jet boating down the majestic trout filled Waiaiu River to Lake Manapouri and the Shallow Bay with its clear water and white sands. Here we begin our easy walk following the lake edge through mountain and red beech forest. The track has a gentle gradient, is well maintained and suitable for all abilities. Your friendly, knowledgeable Trips & Tramps guide will share information on your surrounds, explain the beech forest ecological cycle and conservation efforts made on the Kepler Track by the local community as you wander along. 

At Rainbow Reach (6 km walking, approx 2.5-3 hours walking), we emerge from the bush to cross the Waiau River by swing bridge.  From here we return to Te Anau by road.
